OUR STORY- CELEBRATE FIRST RESPONDERS!

Heroic Deeds Nonprofit…

Two groups from two different states made up of firefighters, police officers, custody deputies, chaplains, pastors, and behavioral health personnel gathered to begin to dream and pray about how they could impact the lives of first responders.

There were fire and police chiefs, those with no rank, and different ranks in between.  It was recognized there are many exceptional government-led wellness programs that exist.  But a need was felt for first responders to unite from their varying disciplines to approach wellness in a different manner, outside of government limitations and from a local grassroots perspective.  To go beyond government-led initiatives and support the physical, the mental, and to add the vital spiritual faith component that had been missing from many programs.

The Heroic Deeds name and logo were created and others were excited about the name and the concept artwork. We received feedback from the group and others about a desire to wear merchandise with the concept and also to support first responders with the purchase of merchandise.

So an idea was born to create a merchandise brand to raise funds to support physical, psychological, and faith fitness in first responders.  Thus the Heroic Deeds LLC Brand was formed to support the separate Heroic Deeds Non-Profit with the mission to… Financially supporting physical, psychological, and faith fitness in first responders.

Why The Name and Phrase… "Done Dirt Cheap"

First Responders perform heroic deeds regularly.  These deeds are often gritty, dirty, and done dirt cheap.  No award, additional pay, or recognition is asked for.

On the night shift, a traumatic heroic deed is performed, and when the shift ends this hero will have breakfast with his family.  The heroic deed, the dirt, the grime, and the trauma is never mentioned.  This hero is humble and protects their family by their silence and putting their needs first.

But the silence and these heroic deeds that are done dirt cheap need to be properly managed in a healthy way through physical, mental, and spiritual fitness. If not, the “HEROIC DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP” will accumulate to destroy health, marriages, families, mental and emotional health, and one’s faith.

The Heroic Deeds Brand offers a better way...

“A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of”. -Jesus

For the Community

How can a first responder provide the best care in a critical situation?

  • A first responder helps those in a mental health crisis best when they are taking care of their own mental health.

  • A first responder helps those in a physical crisis best when they are physically at their optimal health.

  • A first responder helps those in traumatic circumstances best when they are spiritually experiencing love, empathy, peace, sobriety, and purpose through God as their higher power.

  • Financially support physical, psychological, and faith fitness in first responders.

For First Responders and their Families

Every first responder has the right to work and retire happy, healthy, and with a flourishing home life. For that to happen they need to be supported psychologically, physically, and in their faith. They need to be armed with the tools to fight PTSD, heart attacks, and hopelessness.
